What we collect, what we never touch, and how to get rid of it.
Daxani finds export buyers for manufacturers and helps write the first email to them. This page says exactly what that involves for your data — including, in plain terms, what connecting your Gmail account does and does not allow.

Who this covers
This policy covers Daxani Technologies (“Daxani”, “we”) and applies to the Daxani platform at app.daxani.ai and this website. It is written for the person whose company uses Daxani.
Daxani is a business tool. We do not sell to consumers, and the platform is not intended for anyone under 18.
What we collect
Three kinds of information, for three different reasons.
Your account
- The email address you sign in with, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash — we cannot read it or recover it, only check it.
- Your company name and website address, which is where the rest of the work starts.
What we work out about your business
- What you make, read from your own public website, and the trade classification codes that match it.
- The industries and countries that look like buyers for it, and any requirements you tell us a genuine buyer must meet.
- Records of customs shipments from commercial trade-data sources, which are records of companies rather than of people.
The buyers we find, and what you write to them
- Public business information about candidate buyers: company name, website, country, industry, and a business contact address published on their own site.
- The outreach emails drafted for you, your edits, whether you approved them, and — if you send one through Daxani — the fact that it was sent, when, from which address, and the message identifier Gmail returns.
Your Gmail account
Connecting Gmail is optional. Daxani works without it — you can copy any approved email and send it yourself. If you do connect it, this is the whole of what happens.
We ask for one permission: permission to send.
Google divides Gmail access into separate permissions. We request
gmail.send and nothing else, alongside your email address so we can
show you which account is connected.
Daxani cannot read, search, download, organise or delete anything in your mailbox. Not your inbox, not your sent mail, not your drafts, not replies to emails we helped you send. The permission we hold does not allow it, so this is a limit enforced by Google rather than a promise you have to take on trust.
What we store
- Your Gmail address and the account identifier Google gives us.
- A long-lived credential from Google that lets us send on your behalf. It is encrypted before it is written down, using a key held separately from the database.
- Which permissions you actually granted, and the date you connected.
We do not store the short-lived keys used for an individual send; we ask Google for a fresh one each time and discard it.
What we do with it
One thing: send an email you have read and approved, to the buyer it was written for, from your address. Nothing is sent automatically, nothing is sent in wording you have not approved, and each approved email can be sent once — we record that it has gone precisely so it cannot go twice.
Taking it back
Press Disconnect on the Sending screen. We tell Google to cancel the permission and we delete the stored credential. You can also revoke it directly from your Google Account’s security settings, which works whether or not you are able to reach us.
Limited Use
Daxani’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular: we do not use Google user data to train generalised artificial intelligence models, we do not transfer or sell it to third parties, we do not use it for advertising, and no human at Daxani reads it — except where you have explicitly asked us to for support, where it is required by law, or where it is necessary to investigate a security incident.
Where artificial intelligence fits in
Daxani uses AI services to read public websites, judge whether a company is a plausible buyer, and draft the first version of an outreach email. What we send them is your public product information and public information about candidate buyers.
The contents of your mailbox are never sent to any AI service, because we never have them.
Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with other Daxani customers. Each customer’s account is separated from every other one.
We rely on these companies to run the service:
- OpenAI and Google Cloud (Vertex AI) — to read public pages and draft text.
- Zyte — to fetch public web pages reliably.
- Volza, UN Comtrade and MacRAE’s Blue Book — sources of trade records and industrial directory data.
- Render — hosting and the database, in Singapore.
- Vercel — hosting for this website and the application.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the service and its users from fraud or abuse.
Where it is kept, and for how long
Your data is stored on servers in Singapore. Some of the services above process data elsewhere, which means information may be transferred outside your country.
We keep account and business data for as long as your account is open. Ask us to close it and we delete it, other than anything we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons. Mailbox credentials are deleted as soon as you disconnect, without waiting for anything else.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your account and its data.
- Disconnect your mailbox at any moment, on your own, without asking us.
Write to info@daxani.ai and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
How we protect it
- Passwords are stored as one-way hashes and are never readable, by us or by anyone who obtained the database.
- Your Gmail credential is encrypted before storage, with a key kept outside the database, so the database alone is not enough to use it.
- Everything travels over encrypted connections.
- Each customer’s data is separated from every other customer’s, and that separation is tested automatically on every change we make.
No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects your data we will tell you.
Changes, and how to reach us
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and we will tell account holders directly about any change that materially affects them.
Questions, requests, or anything that looks wrong: info@daxani.ai. Our terms of service cover the rest of the relationship.
